It's the Blue artwork rather than the original Red/Green one, so it's arguably not as accurate since they backtracked a lot of those design decisions as early as Yellow version (look at how fucked up Nidoking and Venomoth look in their Blue art compared to every other depiction) but there's a lot of stuff that carried over.
