Huh, you’re not wrong. I’m surprised because Ground is such a common type. It’s worth noting Team Magma are somewhat Ground themed and Galar has a tourney opponent NPC that specialises in Ground like the other unused types, but it’s still surprising.
Although I’d argue Clay solves this issue (
>>54038102 >>54038105) because he has Bulldoze, which could easily be a Gyms 3-5 TM. They could either just use a new move or use something in Mud Shot/Bomb’s power range. Stomping Tantrum, Drill Run, and Earth Power wouldn’t be egregious for Gyms 5-7 either.
