Heads up - using Rest will crash the game; you might need to abuse save states or something in the Mahogany Gym because of this. There's certain broken items that will crash it too. Viet Crystal can be a little unstable at times.

I love those vietnamese abominations like crystal or that poorly transalted gold. Does anyone share a copy of a Pokemon Gold rom in which starters had japanese names (wanin, chinoa etc.) and Erika in Kanto had 125 lvl Octillery? I have played it long time ago when I was a kid and wish to get back to it. It was so buggy, but fun!

I don't know if you're still monitoring this thread but DO NOT GO INTO THE GOLDENROD POKEMON CENTER. Your game will crash. If you need healing, you'll have to deposit and withdraw things in the PCs north and south of the city.

The one I played was Pokemon Gold. I remember it having those shortened japanese names and weird attacks names, like Rage was sth like "cg", when Pokemon used protect it restarted the game etc.
