>>54089464My problems with Goh:
>GoalHe initially just wants to see Mew, and he started growing as a person. Then he stagnated and just became that kid who just catches everything and somehow earns their trust despite their only interaction being a surprise ball to the face. He had some good catches, but 99% of his absurd collection were just random victims.
>DeuteragonistRather than a supporting role with a major presence like Brock, Misty, May, and all the other companions, he literally steals the spotlight for his boring story.
>Pushed side characters awayOriginally, he and Kohaku were the dynamic duo. Then, Kohaku was basically forgotten until the end while Goh took up half of the story.
>FillerEvery episode revolving around Goh's story, be it him catching a bunch of random pokemon or him doing his researcher stuff with Gary and the fuckboy whose name I forgot, felt like a filler episode. When he's doing goofy shit with Ash, it's fine, but when it's Solely Goh? No better than filler.
>Team compAsh was mostly relegated to using old pokemon. His only Galar pokemon were fairly dull and only showed up uncommonly. Goh had the majority of the Galar pokemon, making it feel like Ash barely got to befriend any new pokemon. The main draw of the show is Ash becoming a pokemon master, but Goh was doing that more than Ash was.
>DesignHis skin isn't a problem, but his color scheme overall was bad. Black and red is all he had, and he had hair clips for whatever dumb reason (or was that red in his hair just a shine?). He looked like he was designed to be railed by fat old men in some porn before being put into a kid's show instead.
I hated him because he felt so forced into the story. He overstayed his welcome for a long time.
