Pic related is true Kanto pandering. It does nothing to offer any sort of heartfelt reference. It just throws it out there in an attempt to get people to jump up and down because they said the magic K word. Sure, Charizard bridge is on the boundary of that. But the difference between it and pic related is that Charizard bridge is in a place where it isn't shoved in your face at all regardless. Meanwhile Alola, Galar, and even BDSP Sinnoh go out of their way to shoehorn it in forced interactions.
