>>54220874Ultra Sun was the final straw for me, it's the first time I remember actively disliking a Pokemon game. They hyped it up so much as this parallel universe where so much has changed, but it's just Sun Version but with a worse story and like no meaningful changes. Gen 7's already tough to go back to because of its constant railroading, so USUM dropped the ball immensely.
That said, I did have fun with Sun the one time I played. I liked Lillie's arc, the region is super comfy, most of the new Pokemon are instant classics, and of course I've blasted rope to Lana like you wouldn't believe. Haven't bought a new Pokemon game since and I'm content with that.
