Slaking, on the other hand, is literally based on Bigfoot/Sasquatch - a creature whose three defining traits are the large feet, apelike appearance, and overwhelmingly powerful, offensive odor. It evolves directly from a sloth, which is also a creature known to stink, since it literally shits and pisses all over itself when climbing around the jungle canopy - enough so that some sloths are covered in moss because their fur is essentially covered in fertilizer and they move slowly enough for plant spores to take root in it.
