ngl Lance's rematch team is way more threatening than Platinum rematch Cynthia, I feel like they did a good job in updating him. His only real weak link felt like Altaria, while Spiritomb and Togekiss weren't really doing anything for Cynthia.
Which equally makes Cynthia's BDSP rematch teams pretty awesome since they definitely improved from where she wasn't great.

I hate cynthia and I hate bdsp and more than ANYTHING i hate the friendship boosts added from xy onwards, but i am not gonna tolerate shitflinging on one of the few games that actually had genuinely PROPER movesets on all of its boss fights. If game freak didn’t add friendship boosts and forced exp share, bdsp would have been a legit proper normal difficulty pokemon game. I would say the same for SS.

It still wouldn't have been because outside of the league and some of the postgame fights (which barely anyone seemed to actually touch) BDSP has several outright terrible comps, partially because they were too chickenshit to fix things like the 7th gym leader having NFEs or gyms still being generic monotype slop you beat in 3 turns, but also several schizophrenic choices like Cyrus's Crobat having Quick Claw Tailwind or Fantina using physical ghost STABs on most of her mons
