Fighting = Orangish Brown
Ground = Brown
Fire = Red-Orange
Rock = Grey
Electric = Shiny Yellow
Bug = Dark Green
Grass = Light Green
Flying = Sky Blue
Ice = Light Blue
Water = Girlish Light Blue (probably cerulean)
Dragon = Fierce Purple
Steel = Whitish Grey
Poison = Light Purple
Ghost = Purplish Grey
Psychic = Hot Pink
Dark = Dark Grey, Almost Black
Fairy = Black and Yellow

They're the same hue, yes, but brown is either darker or less saturated, and that's enough of a difference for brown to be considered visually distinct.

Ghost is tricky. In almost every iteration it’s purple. If anything, I’d go with the more western color of poison and make THAT a sickly green
