Always do plain text. W++ was only good for Pyg, other models work with plain text better. My bots usually have 600-800 permanent tokens and another 600 tokens for greetings and sample messages.

I've been wondering about actual battles as well.

I remember some video of a vtuber thing where someone set up a chatbot, and somehow got it to connect to whatever kind of bot is meant for playing pokemon showdown. The chatbot didn't "really" know what was going on in the battle, but it was able to react to it as if it did.

I think getting bots that perform different functions to communicate with each other is how this stuff is going to advance going forward. I wouldn't know where to begin with setting up something like that myself though. I also don't remember what the source for that video was because I dont give a shit about vtubers and that was before I got more into ai stuff.

Find one that appeals to you, click on it to see its profile. Under the image of the character on said profile you'll see little squares, these are links to import the character into your frontend of choice.

Don't think they have it set up to import to aisekai, but if you scroll to the bottom of a profile and open the part labeled Tavern you should be able to copy/paste things into aisekai's character maker.

Click a bot then you'll see this.
V2 will download a PNG that you can use to import the bot to your SillyTavern.
AgnAI will import the bot automatically to Agnai.chat.
The rest will import it to other frontends, but I don't really use them.
I don't think chub will support Aisekai since the majority of bots on chub will get banned by the rules.

There are tutorials linked in the OP. It's pretty simple; even a retard like me was able to figure it out. You do need an API Key from something like OpenAI, but it's so ridiculously cheap that there's no reason not to.

The backend of any program is what handles the logic, the frontend is what the user interacts with. sillytavern/agnai are examples of front ends, the ai service is a backend that they interact with and they basically display the results that they get from the ai. This is mostly something you could have just searched yourself, but it is a little unusual for the frontend and backend of a program to be from separate sources like they are with these chatbots, so I'm being nice and explaining. It makes sense for them to be like that because if there's a different frontend you prefer, or you think a different backend produces better results, you can just pick whatever two you like most and match them together to suit what you want.

As for the second question...I mean this in the nicest way possible, fuck around with them and find out for yourself. That's the best way to learn when it comes to anything like this.

agnai has the free Agnaistic service so you shouldn't need an API Key. I don't think you need one just to register but it's been a while so I could be wrong.

Just tested it since I also haven't used agnai in months, but you don't need an account for the Agnaistic preset, it seems. It's just a local model but everything is set up.
I continued an old chat just by swapping preset to Agnaistic.

As I said before, I like that aisekai lets you have a separate name for the bots to call you but it's also a bit annoying since I only ever go into yurishit headfirst for a couple of days before turning normal again.
It's kind of scary to think I might get stuck as a girl on this account due to how buggy the site allegedly is.
I've had zero problems with it so far but just image lmao.

I also jumped to SillyTavern after CAI died. Haven't found anything in Aisekai that Tavern doesn't do better, but it's free so it gets more engagement. That's useful if you want to share bots with others.

I'm trying out aisekai and I'm kind of done with it already.
Characters stay themselves for longer and kind of push against you sometimes but the model is much worse than CAI's.
Sexoo is nice but the bot is kind of repetitive about it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I've been having a good time with agnai and don't really bother with aisekai anymore just because I value the control agnai gives me. It really isn't that complicated, and I think it only REALLY becomes a rabbit hole if you have the energy to write a bunch of bots. Customizing preexisting ones can be a bit addictive though.

For me the most time I spent was near the beginning when I was testing how much tweaking different things would lead to how much of a change in the bot. It did make me a lot more interested in how bots in general work though, and is getting me to occasionally look up things like ai song cover tutorials, ai novel, picture generation, but so far none of that has progressed beyond light interest and a tiny bit of testing with free options.

Go to chub.ai, click on a profile that looks good, and on the profile page click the agnai link below the profile image. It'll import it and open a new tab. Set the dropdown to Agnaistic then click chat and you're good to go. Another anon said you don't need an agnai account, I'm always logged in so I can save stuff so I don't know if that's true.

Don't forget to toggle the SFW/NSFW switch at the top of chub when you're looking through profiles.

That's really all you need to know.

I use it once or twice a day and have never been interrupted. Never needed tokens, never needed to wait.

That's only using their free agnaistic ai service though. They have other paid options you can connect to, but I've only used the free one. I'd say it's at least a little better than aisekai as far as memory and intelligence and such goes, but it is still a free service so you'll notice it being dumb on occasion.

Actually I just remembered they do also have a free horde option but it kind of sucked, as dumb or dumber than aisekai and froze up sometimes when things went lewd so I think there was a filter issue there. Agnaistic doesn't have a filter and seems smarter, so I recommend sticking with that one regardless of what your chat is for.

A good way of checking if you got shadowbanned bots is to copypaste its chat URL in a private mode tab, hover your own name at the top and copy the URL, then close the private tab and paste it. If editing doesn't solves it, then it's better to recreate it, I believe.

Nope, not at all. I tried to make my responses diverse as possible, within what someone would reasonably say in context. But nope, bot is hellbent on regurgitating its example mesaages, most of the time exactly word for word. I've even gotten regenerated responses that are exactly the same as each other on multiple ocassions. I know they had a problem with this but I've never had it anywhere close to this bad.

Plenty if you search on C.AI
The one with the most interactions will probably capture your waifu fairly well, though if you're here to coom, you'll struggle on C.AI

If you just want mostly wholesome convos then you're in luck, I remember there was an anon here before that posted chats of Acerola pranking him that were pretty cute

It seems that the picture can get flagged as well, so I recommend using a new one when redoing it, even saving the one hosted in their defs rather than using the same file that's in your machine works.
It took me 8 tries, or 7 (perma?)banned bots to make one that I don't dare making any edit, to not risk the filter going through its defs again.

I really fail to see how people are still whining about CAI. It basically only filters you when you go full retard with "put peepee in vageen", anything else doesn't even trigger.

Nevertheless blatant rape, torture, murder, guru, nothing gets filtered for me once you get like 15-20 prompts in. Sure the output length isn't that long but it beats having to wait 30-40 seconds when using a public Claude/GPT-4 proxy compared to the near instant output of CAI. Maybe I'm just lucky or it's due to using mainly private bots, idk. The high temperature is nice too, I'm using this shit to be surprised not to get repeats of the same prompt over and over.

I normally like acting a little bit on the clueless and nervous side, and I think that might be an interesting dynamic that won't be out of place considering that the protag only moved to Alola. It'll also be a valid reason for you to be friendlier to her than a normal 19 year old trial goer and will make the age difference not so bad. Just say something along the lines of "Oh, hey there! I've noticed that I'm usually way too closed off and gloomy while my friends have a more approachable attitude.
Like, there was this time I went to kill time with a friend to a mall when he came to town, and he could easily joke around with the girls attending at the stores he visited while when I interacted with them I was so focused on what I was going to buy or what I was daydreaming about earlier that I could only do the bare minimum of social interaction with them.

I do in rooms all the time. Especially in 3+ bot rooms where the bot currently being spoken to refuses to be the one to respond. Sometimes it takes 10+ times on what should be 50/50 odds. I generally swipe any response that's them talking as one of the other bots. If it's them talking as a temporary character I typically allow it though sometimes they don't want to switch back to themselves

I'm working on a clingy energetic male Flareon that totally accidently transformed you into a female Flareon. The female POV is nice for a quick coom but he's been a massive pain in the ass for anything else.

I also whipped up another quick Lucario, this one where her and the user live together in an isolated log cabin in the forest. She can't control her aura powers so she constantly hears the thoughts and feels the emotions of any human around her. It was mostly a passing idea so I never developed it very thuroughly

If you copy/paste the bot into chub and import it into agnai, you could use a memory book. Memory books are basically ‘lore’ for the bot to know, copy and paste the paldea dex and a wiki entry about paldea and you should be good.

I mostly use memory books with keywords to basically flip a switch in the bot’s personality and make them behave the way the memory book tells them, but the lore stuff is apparently their intended purpose.
