Wrong. All the new stones, moves, and even special evolution areas were present in the base game. The only things missing were trade items, which require having a friend anyway.

you get the natdex before victory road though. not particularly early, sure, but how does that not count as "in the main/base game"?
pretty sure you can get the evo stones earlier through super training anyways, which doesn't require natdex to unlock (although the game's gonna become even more piss easy if you use it enough)

Unlike Faggotred and Ligmagreen, you get natdex during the main game. It even gives you access to a good number of mons you couldn't catch in the original Hoenn.

maybe they'll keep it exclusive for god knows what reason, but let's not pretend that they have qualms with retconning evo methods after they changed how location evos work, completely shitting on their old "we can't have the new evo methods be something that could be replicated in the old games" autism. all they'd have to do to is drop them in the same way as any other crossgen evo and justify it by slapping some vague flavor text like "wow there's been a crazy resurgence of these previously lost evolutions, and now they've been reincorporated into the ecosystem!"

hell, mamoswine was apparently supposed to be extinct despite having been in hisui the entire time, so it's not like there's no precedent for it. hell, kleavor was already datamined to be in the part 2 dex, so they're almost definitely making black augurite readily available.

Johto has a two act structure, and it's not unheard of for works to bookend each act with a credits sequence. There's too much content in Kanto for it to be considered anything but part of the main game, and all you "MUHHHH POST GAME" faggots have to prove your side is muh credits roll.
