My sister in law was very transphobic but she's a huge pokemon fan with gen 6 being her favorite. Anyway her little sister came out as trans and she wasn't supportive at first but eventually it changed and accepted her little sister as a little brother. I remember her using the shiny Sylveon on a cake as a congrats to her little sister/brother. I don't think the design was meant to actually be a trans thing but there's no denying the similarities with the color scheme. I don't care when trans people use sylveon as a sort of mascot either.
