Post pokemon that do not fit the traditional color code of its type. For example, seaking doesn't have the blue color in its line.

Never understood why purple is the go to color for Poison-types. Be nice to see more green, or even yellow and orange make it into the designs.

Probably because green is already associated with grass, which already has a lot of overlap with poison

I mean, it makes sense that a fire type would use warm colors. The only fire type 'mons that don't really have any red/orange/yellow on them are Ceruledge, Alolan Marowak and Mega 'Zard X, and that's just because they all have the gimmick of having blue fire.

Most dragons are blueish or purple. Dratini, Dragonair, Bagon, Salamence, Druddigon, Kingdra, Altaria and many more.
Moves like draco meteor, dragon breath and dragon pulse also follow the same pattern

the design conveys an aesthetic of being very "in tune" with nature or some sort of forest protector. Feels like I've seen other creatures like that in media and if this was my first time seeing Xerneas I'd assume that's what it's trying to emulate

It's definitely one of the weakest ones.

Magikarp was a much more interesting take on a fishmon but I guess they wanted something more traditional to make it stand out.
