>>54920705I actually really enjoyed the wholly original dex. People complain that there's too much filler but even if that's the case, it's not like there isn't filler in every other dex as well, including Kanto's.
There were also a lot of routes with side content or even dungeons that really made it fun to explore each area. I love how you can return to Route 1 after getting surf and there's a whole extra route you can explore connected to it.
And uh, the soundtrack. Probably safe to say it's one of my favorites in the entire series, almost every track is very memorable to me.
