Realistically if they made the hero complex a bit more overt I feel like people would have had less problems with it, also maybe we don't need to bother with him acting like he wants to delay the match because as you said, interrupting the final match achieves what he would want in that regard anyway

If you had electric pokemon farms, you would go from having an energetic crisis to a food crisis, a health crisis (the rooting increases diseases), and a pollution crisis.

The most ecologically sustainable in that world is to have flocks/herds of Magnemite (Magneton and Magnezone are more difficult to control) touring land whipped by electric storms, fattening them and draining the exedent. The problem, these do not occur often, are unpredictable and are not available for all regions.

Heliolisk can do the same thing by just sitting in the sun for a little bit according to SwSh's own pokedex entries.

The worst part isn't just making sense of the plots, it's trying to do that while also juggling the other games, fitting all of those stories within less than 45 chapters per game that must include DLC and remake content that must be represented despite being half-way through the story, on one chapter a month. There's also only one writer.

Wasn't there something in one of the animes that had his dad fucking dies in a mining accident? Given his brother is also searching for a solution to the energy crisis, it's clear that they're both deeply effected by something like that. It's just Rose is really upset he's been blown off so many times and decided to do it at the worst possible time. He's still retarded, but there's a logic to it. It's a shame the game barely explains it, but knowing the Ohmori directed titles they were probably busy finishing the game shortly before it was supposed to go gold.
