I literally forgot this Pokemon existed until I revisited my decade-old SuMo save file and found a shiny version of it some kid wondertraded to me.

What the FUCK were they thinking? Alola is on-par with Johto for how many forgettable shitmons it introduced.

I used it on my SM playthrough, he's pretty memorable in terms of design and he has a cool signature move too.

Gen 7 was the generation of dragon type proliferation. It's introduction of both Turtonator and Drampa really reinvented what a dragon could be. Single stage, not as high of base stats, but draconic in power and and versatility. This is exemplified by the following gen creating similar ideas with the Applin line.

And pardon I do distinguish between the gen 6 continued dragon trope of a less powerful but good dragon evolved from non dragon type like Dragalge, one of my all time favorites, I just feel it is in the vein of throwing a non legendary dragon fans ways every other gen (Kingdra-trope). Which is different from the idea that they can gain prevelancy and earlier game distrobution.
