When DP released, I had graduated high school 2 years previous, and that was my last good girlfriend. Wii was out in late 2006. In 2007 I had some friends still, and we all played DP together. After a year or two of that, we all had finally drifted. I stuck around that town way past when everybody else had left or 'grown up'. I still lived with me parents, and I have a bitter nostalgia for it. It was a hard time finding a job to support just insurance and gas. Apply to literally 50 places and 2 call back, one interviews you and doesn't hire you. It was an awful time for responsiblity, but Pokemon was a lot of fun. Especially the lead-up, before we knew every single detail before release. Keeping up on news and leaks, playing on opening day, doing the Underground, breeding, chasing shinies.

I missed everything pokemon after HG because I went to a foster home because my parents beat me and my life has been shit ever since.

I had to watch everyone else do everything I wanted, with others, like the kid out of the window looking inside. Trading mons, doing 'the special features'. By the time I got pokemon again and could connect my DS to the internet for the first time, it was the year Nintendo decided to shut down connectivity.

I'll never forgive my life. I just wanted one thing. I just wanted to be like everyone else.

Platinum is my favourite game out of the series, and I love the music. Most songs have 3 versions because of different times of day. However, I think BW/2 have the best music in the series. It's peak Masuda. The 2nd town with added musical layers like a pre-Village Bridge. Village Bridge is one of my top 5 favourite locations just because of the experience of exploring it and uncovering new layers of music while doing so. Also the legendary beast theme blew my mind when I first heard it. I was addicted to that song for a year or two.
