It wasn't, it was a huge waste of time in a game that already loved to waste your time with shit dungeon design. It's legitimately the biggest flaw in Platinum.

Because they were faithful to DP not Pt, and because the devs realized the distorshit world is the worst part of Sinnoh.

It’s really cool on a first playthrough but it’s kinda tedious every other time, there’s nothing there except some boring ass puzzles. I do think that atmospherically it’s pretty cool though.
