He's only upset that ogrepon chose you because that meant it was leaving; directly after he cleared the record with the village and made it so the village would actually welcome ogrepon back. He wouldn't have acted like this at all if he was the one that was with you when you initially met ogrepon. He probably would've ran off to the mountain late at night and caused a scene in that way, but just meeting it normally? He would've been a harmless fanboy. isn't he though? the whole story is so well written, each character is has a well defined personality and motives that inform how they feel about the things that happen and what they do because of it. the character development through the story feels completely organic and natural because kieran and carmine act like real people.
