Speaking of Terapagos, I'm pretty convinced that it's terra-form model is not supposed to be that tiny and it's actually a mistake. The trailers and promotional art made it look like it was going to be huge, at-least Kyogre sized.

I remember for the longest time the only gendered legendaries were the Latis, Heatran (which has a 50/50 gender for whatever reason), Cresselia, and the OG Genies, and now within the span of 2 gens we got 7 gendered legendaries (Urshifu, Enamorus, the Loyal Three, Ogerpon, and Terapagos)

Also am I’m the only one who thinks Heatran feels like a scrapped pseudo? (from it’s 50/50 gender to it’s 600 BST to the fact that it’s “legendary lore” isn’t much, even compared to the later/recent ones)

The "huge" form is supposed to be its Stellar form.

The other way arounf, retrd-chan. Anime wasn't allowed show off more to their terapagos until the DLC. There were clear and obvious hints there was going to be something related to it in the anime, but /vp/ assumed it was because it was a dreamcatcher and not infinite regression.

No, you misunderstand. If Terapagos was fully explained in the DLC, that would ruin the surprise and mystique that surrounds Liko's Terapagos in Horizons, because now we know what it's capable of, and thus can assume where the story will go from there.
Indigo Disk wasn't allowed to do anything big with Terapagos because TPC decided it should be Horizon's job to supply us with lore and information on Terapagos' powers.

The demiurge supports reality on a metaphysical scale while the world turtle is more literal. With Terapagos' newly revealed ability to influence alternate timelines and the mystery still revolving around it in the anime, it's possible that Terapagos across different timelines are connected or even share memories in a similar way that Arceus has his many avatars. If Terapagos is a universal constant across timelines that is required/used to maintain reality it would line up in a similar way to how the demiurge functions.

No you don't. If TPC ran the show, Mega Greninja would be a thing because it was money in Gen 6. Instead, Game Freak made asspull the battle bond, so when they binned Megas (like they'd planned all along, yet still made for TPC to shill), they could bin asspull without having to re-write their own lore regarding their games and universe.

Except you can't even use the hardmode yourself.

If you bought Black 2 and unlocked hardmode by beating the game, it does fuck all for you except give you the ability to spread hardmode to another cartridge (one-way; you can't give it to someone and then have them return it to you). You actually need to sync up with a second cartridge of a completed Black 2 for that other game to unlock your hard mode. It's fucking asinine.

Yes, but the Terapagos you battle and capture is completely scripted to have perfect IVs in everything except Attack, a Hardy Nature, and be male.
It's a 50/50 ratio under nonscripted circumstances, which is more for lore reasons at the moment than anything.

It's not just a difficulty menu you can select at the start of a new game though. You had to beat Black 2, get White 2 or a second copy of Black 2, then link with one of those to make hard mode usable. You couldn't just do new game because it erases your key data too.

iirc it doesn't work that way, if you delete your save file you lose the challenge mode unlock and can't select it in a new game. The only way to get challenge mode is to have someone else who unlocked it send it to you.

It's not just that it's hard to access. The mode itself doesn't work. While levels are displayed as higher on opposing pokemon the stats are actually the same as on normal mode. This means the only real difference is that you get more exp. The battles aren't actually any harder and in fact are much easier as you'll be overleveled.

Honestly I think sky battles were a cool idea, they just should've been used for something more than like 4 battles on random routes.

Imagine a battle facility where all the battles take place under certain terrain restrictions that limit you to certain Pokemon. So sky battles, or a battle in a pool where you can only use pokemon that can swim, or a battle in a tiny room where you can only use Pokemon under a certain size, etc. Would lead to some interesting new ways to build teams.

Aquire taste, anon. The singular justification for voice acting would be that it allows even younger children to get a more complete experience. No, but Xenoblade and Fire Emblem have good voice acting. And Zelda is at least serviceable. I'm not even that into VA in games but it's undeniably offputting when SV has a bunch of fully rendered, dialogue-heavy cutscenes that are just completely silent.

Gen 7, the Gen right before 8 allowed you to use every pokemon and was on a much smaller handheld console.
Even if they were adamant about making the rest of the pokemon DLC to make it easier to model/animate them as the game went on...why stop before you've added them all back? Or the functionality for them all to be in the game.Like you include EVERY pokemon except like...the last 100 or so? Why? At that point just put in the functionality for them all to be in the game. I get if it's Legends Arceus or LGPE or even the Sinnoh remake but I just do not understand why they're trimming the pokedex now that they've got more powerful hardware.

Until PLA, they have been reusing the same meshes and textures since the Pokedex 3D app. It's not like the old days where they had to redraw every sprite from scratch.
