>>55127187GF seems to know what they did on Tinkaton stats and how popular she became on release has become somewhat problematic that they have been giving her pretty good moves with DLCs, just now in the Indigo Disk they gave her two Tank Buster moves(Endeavor and Hard Press) that scales off the enemy Pokémon HP instead of her Attack stat as a way of doing big damage to High Hp mons like Blissey, she also got a substitute ignoring Spe.Def debuffer as well(Metal Sound).
IMO, she's technically not "bad" just all the recent powercreep warped people minds on what is considered a good mon nowadays(I mean there are much much worse mons in the game and fortunately Tinkaton isn't one of them), she still does decent damage for a Support mon and if GF really didn't want her to do damage at all they wouldn't have given her Sword Dance and High BP Specialty move while having a very versatile movepool with decent bulk and good speed on top of that.
When GF decides to make her into the next Marowak/Farfetch'd, they'll be people saying she's OP just because she can now actually hurt her opponents without using Gigaton Hammer or gimmicky strategies.
Most of the argument is mostly on the competitive side of gameplay, in the main game she actually does quite decent that is why you see a lot of people has her on their team, she's nowhere near as "bad" as say Spidops/Parasect/Grafaiai that most people don't even have on their teams and when they do, they're just mostly used for fodder strategies.
TL;DR: Folks just want to have their Heros be strong.
