Trade evolutions haven't had a "point" for anywhere other than Japan after the year 2000. Anyone who got a trade evolution afterwards either did it by trading with their own two games or an emotionless back-and-forth trade with an online friend.
Sure, the idea was novel at the time, throw a Pokemon at a buddy and then it ends up evolving and they get something wild for it, but it only works in a social climate like Japan. Everywhere else, kids just get greedy and try to jew each other out of trade evolutions, and then that mindset carries over even into adulthood because some people think it's funny to imagine Timmy's sniveling face when his could've-been Gengar's snatched.

Raids were a mistake. Methods of obtaining hidden ability mons with good IVs should have been kept separate from multiplayer content. I also get the impression they invented raids as a band aid for the lack of battle facilities because GameFuck is lazy
