Y'know the drill, give your hottest takes about the Pokemon Series.
I'll start with a relatively mild one; I think that the starting portion (up until you get your first gym badge) is the best part of any pokemon game. This in itself probably isn't much of a hot take but what might push it over the edge is that DPP have my favorite early game of any pokemon game. I actually like the slow start a lot, and I think the game does a good job of drip feeding you new mons with every area while not overloading routes with rare mons that can easily be missed if you don't feel like grinding in the grass.
