I am not a fan of Reload it tries to mimic the visual style of 5 despite the themes not fitting the direction of 3's narrative but alteast it has more going for it despite being the same basegame with an slight overhaul to characters, keeping the much needed Party control and newer personas than BDSP, because this "remake" still is and always will be just an upscaled port. And judging from the other persona releases on the switch, this one will also have atleast a higher and more consistent framerate.

That's because one is from a series beloved by most people under the age of 40, the other is from a niche weeb spin-off of a more niche JRPG. So more people are going to accept the remake from the beloved series, while the other just has its weeb obsessives to go to bat for it and THEY'RE too invested in crying it's not like the original to support it.
It's staggering how you haven't learned how differently-sized fanbases have different effects and pull regarding their different IP's with Pokémon's being so infested with normalfags, the normalfag opinion is the generally-held consensus.

I feel like this only used to happen with minor stuff the devs genuinely might have missed, but both those games just ignore enhancements from previous versions that were literally marketed on the packaging.

How the fuck did they fail to keep features from FES and Portable? That's barely anything to keep track of.
BDSP was clearly them being morons and insisting on selling two versions so they had to ignore the definitive one. It's not a good reason, but it's a reason.

We lost so hard its unreal. We really need to either wait until 2050 for a roll of the dice for another possibly good Sinnoh game, or wait until 2035 when BDSP has been decompiled, ported to PC and fully modded to be not mediocre and visually appealing to look at. Only region that lost harder was Hoenn who got Mega autism and leftover Kalos loose ends injected into their games plots and story, that's one thing we luckily dodged.

What baffles me the most in this case is the Soundtrack situation.
Reload's soundtrack is not only a remix of the original one, but also adding a new one as the Battle themes

BDSP on the other hand had the fucking MIDI placeholders in the base form. Fucking placeholders at release.

It really doesn't need to be. Persona 3 is set in 2009, and doesn't need the hyper-stylized aspect of Persona 5.

This one's confirmed. I don't see why it wouldn't be there, reverting to RNG-based skill inheritance would be like TMs going back from unlimited uses to one-time use.

Never has my hype for a remake been deflated faster than with Persona 3 Reload. All the P3 fans have ever wanted was a version of the game with both FES and P3P content. Instead, we're getting some weird remake that has a couple of added things like gameplay mechanics taken from P5 and an Aigis social link (because even Atlus realized there would be riots if they didn't include that). There's also changes to the armbands and it looks like people will occasionally summon personas without the use of an evoker.

I fully expect them to change the ending and make it 'happier' because of course modern Atlus will.

I think you misinterpreted what I said. The director of Reload said in interviews that they were only remaking vanilla P3, which didn't include the Aigis social link - they only revealed later that they will have one in the game.

The main features people are upset about being cut from Reload are The Answer (which most people hate and would take massive overhauls to fix) and FeMC (who would bring such an immense amount of changes that ATLUS could legitimately justify selling her version as a separate game). Nothing else (I believe) has been outright deconfirmed.
All BDSP had to do to add Platinum content was make some graphical changes and swap out a few Pokemon and moves that trainers had, and maybe add a postgame arc about Giratina or something, and ILCA couldn’t be bothered to do that.
