>>55220336There is a big difference between the Abilities added in Gens 3-5 and Abilities added in Gens 6+. We still have Abilities that do basic stuff like "You get faster if this thing happens," but there are a lot more "special" abilities that do multiple things or pretty much define a Pokemon. I'd like to see some older abilities get patched to work with more functionality, like how they went back and tweaked things like Rattled or Oblivious
>Big PecksMake it so the user is immune to Defense drops AND Speed drops. Shit, maybe even give them a slightly improved boost to Speed in Tailwind too. If the idea is this ability goes to birds with "big pec(k)s" then why not lean into them having really strong muscles and wings that keep them from slowing down?
>Hyper CutterThe description of this ability changed to specifically mention the user being proud of their claw for some reason (sorry Mawile). Other than preventing Attack drops, which is already good, make it like a built in "Sharpen": whenever the user uses a "sharp" move (or Crabhammer bc wtf not), their Attack gets a boost. It would use all the same moves as Sharpness (+Crabhammer), but now your Pinsir can spam Choice Banded X-Scissor and just keep getting Attack boosts every time it lands a hit.
>Magma ArmorMake it work like Water Bubble. Now it protects from Freeze and also boosts the power of Fire-type moves AND weakens the power of Water-type moves (or Ice? or both?).
>Flame BodyI think this one should work both ways, so if you make contact it can Burn as well (like Poison Touch).
>Poison PointMake it work both ways as well, considering you're pointy and likely to jab the target when you make contact too
>Poison TouchGive it a stacking effect -- "bad poison" if it procs twice on the same target
>LimberCan't be Paralyzed AND you're so flexible you have a small chance of avoiding contact moves (like 10%? 20%? whatever doesn't feel broken)
