But lore-wise he is way weaker.
So GF, in their infinite wisdom, gave the weaker in-game team to the stronger (story-wise) trainer
Red suffers much the same fate. Lore-wise he would stomp Kieran and probably/maybe beat Nemona.
But all his mainline teams are unimpressive aside from high levels and would get beaten by the stuff in Indigo and BDSP and some others too
Cynthia is the one trainer/champion that actually combines both in-game team strength (especially after BDSP) and lore strength (of being a regional champion, and one who only lost to the Player and not other NPCs)
Nemona has that too now (after DLC rematches), but with a team like this
