Maybe I was too hyperbolic by saying they didn't let us pet them, I'm just pissed off that they removed it completely
And I'm doubly annoyed that riding Pokémon is locked behind the following
Surf being implied
Fly being implied
Gen 6 had skiddo, rhyhorn and mamoswine locked to some areas and later in ORAS we were given a hand me down lati@s and finally some real progress with kyogre lapras and sharpedo surf models
We had a regression in alola with rentals and mantine/ultra space
Sword and shield fucked us royally but at least Pokémon could chase after balls and attack a lure
PLA gave us more rentals despite the ability for us to take out entire party out
And SV gave us a hand me down super special bike that remind me of ORAS lati@s, I don't want a hand me down I want to ride my own shit
That's our history with riding Pokémon outside of the one time they almost got it right with fucking let's go of all things, I don't get it I just don't get game freak at all
