Ignoring the terrible graphics and performance, the insomnia-curing difficulty, the nonsensical main story, the complete lack of beloved features from previous games like Mega Evolution and Pokemon Amie, the beginning of the “anti-cool” Pokemon design theorem which forced every coolmon to have one “silly” or “goofy” aspect of their design so as not to scare off any kids by looking too badass foe them, the removal of half of the Pokemon from the game done solely to sell back to you later as paid DLC on top of the $10 increase in the retail price compared to previous games that gave you all this content in the base game, and the general cult of toxic positivity it’s festered in the fanbase that made having genuine discussion of these games, as well as the anti-consumer business practices of the billion-dollar corporation that made them, completely impossible…
