Obviously you'd play on normal speed if you're dodging spinners. If you're really smart, you'd make the game slower to account for reaction time, but why not clause optionals or turn on walk through walls at that point? :)

In a hard game, it could be as catastrophic as losing the mon, and grinding would make it more obvious.
People here also talk about EK a lot when it comes to candies. It began as a thing to buy at the mart in Mauville because you can always get levels risk-free at that point. The casino generates a net profit in coins, so you'd mash A through the slots, buy and sell TMs, and run left/right for the daycare, all on speed up.
