I think a pokemon game set in a region baser on Russia would be a good idea. Russia is such a big country.

They both have fascinating cultures and history's and have a lot of depth to explore. It's probably for the better. Game Freak would probably rush it anyway. China especially is a mountain of content since you can make multiple regions out of China. And Chinese history is so rich just like Russian history.
