depends on the BST improvements, the movepool and base BST really push it towards being a bulky support which is really hard to justify using your mega slot on. its support movepool is decent, not amazing, so giving it more defenses and presumably more bulk probably isnt worth the opportunity cost compared to the offensive pressure other megas can bring

What if there was a regional form for Meganium that's all about offense and not defense/support? It's not like a regional form (or mega evolution) has to stick to the same role the original Pokemon has. This is what the Pokemon community largely fails to comprehend when suggesting regional forms and mega evolutions for various Pokemon that fail at the role they're supposed to do. People complain about how Meganium is supposed to be a support Pokemon as a starter Pokemon (which Game Freak failed at) so why keep it as a support or defensive Pokemon with a mega evolution or regional form?

The kalos war that took place 3,000 years ago would’ve been in the Roman era, and the few shots you get of it in the xy anime allude to this as well. While cool in theory, I don’t really know how you would fit it into the game regardless of whether its in the 1800’s or post xy.
