How did they justify making Fairy resistant to Bug?
Fairy didn't need any more resistances. Bug didn't need any more weaknesses.
In fact, it's pretty much the opposite, making Bug super effective against Fairy would've made much more sense and been more necessary.

"The nature type" please, occasional individual Pokémon having stories that allude to some specific fae stories still doesn't make them more of a "nature" type. Saying they are is more forced and retarded

What. There's "the nature type" and "types that don't control nature", then? Wouldn't that be all other types? By your logic Bug should be strong against like, Fighting and Ghost as well.
I can't even comprehend the level of autism needed to think Bug being strong against "Dark" makes any sense but not against Faeries.
There's little to link most Fairy types other than (most of) them being girly and pink. Sorry your autism doesn't allow you to see how obvious it would be for normal people to justify them being afraid of bugs, but Pokémon type interactions have never had deeper justifications than that or been deeper in any way. Sometimes it doesn't even have any justification at all, like with Bug vs. Dark.
They're not even the "nature" type, for one thing, that's an autismo headcanon of your own.

they didn't. fairy has no cohesive lore, every explanation for its type matchups is coping rationalizations from the fanbase. there isn't even an explanation for why it's immune to dragon.

Let's see, it can either come from "consisting of or associated with woods", which Sylveon isn't, even close, or from sylph, "one of the most popular types of faeries", which Sylveon was meant to represent and be the face of in the generation it was introduced... yeah I'm going with sylph here. If the face of the fairy type was called Pixeon I'd sooner believe it was meant to be a play on "pixie" than a play on "pixels"
