Which starter is winning Gen 9? Fuecoco feels a little too messy to be popular but Meowscada is saddled with the grass handicap, not even Sceptile managed to be popular and he was Ash's CHAAAAAARIZAAAAAAAARD during Hoenn.

Because Rilla only saw action when they released HA munkey and people started using it in VGC. Cinderace was popular with kids and enough adults to warrant pushing it. Mind, they knew themselves - people don't give a fuck for primate pokémon in general and they had a monkey, a rabbit and a lizard, meaning the only option was to shill the rabbit, especially after the lizard was unashamed fujobait.
