He means what they did with the Meltan Box. Initially you needed a Switch with LGPE to obtain it, later on they made it so sending one porkymane to Home gives you the box too, therefore nullifying the need for a console. And they added the special research too.

Visual glitch maybe? Ace rank is 2k so you're just over 100 points away. Find the right team or have a great day of out playing your opponents and you could get ace in a single day. But honestly just keep grinding away and you'll get it in a couple days assuming you don't get wrecked in team comp or skill.

I had an okay day of it today. Mostly 3/5 but no losing sets. Had some really lucky forfeits and one a match from what I assume is lag cause my opponent just stopped attacking half way through. One of the few times that happens in my favor.

3/2 are your bread and butter, sure it's 40-50 points only, but man it's waaay better than going negative on the day. All you gotta do is convert one or two of those 3/2's into a 4/1 and you start seeing crazy elo gains.

Whatever you do, try and limit yourself to 2/3's at worst, 1-4's and 0-5's destroy your elo and make it nearly impossible to gain anything on the day unless your other sets were equally as polarizing.

Not sure if you're talking about a fast move or charge move, but if it was a fast move, it's programmed that way (subtle detail designed to promote autistic competitive behavior). It's usually only a problem when you have a sliver of health if it's a quick fast move like Bite or Dragon Breath. If it was a charge move, it could've been that your opponent's Pokémon had a higher attack stat than your Pokémon which gives it priority during a tie (Charge Move Priority or CMP).

It's to reflect speed moreso than anything anon. It's been a thing for years now and it's way better than the old CMP system where it was based on who invited who and even then it was still broken as fuck.

Don't worry, there's a glitch in the pvp system right now where sometimes you dont even get to throw a charge move or even a fast attack when you're the one coming in despite how you should be able too. There's also a chance of a 1 turn lag putting you behind and making it so you get your fast move denied when they do throw a move eventually unless you throw first (Not to be confused with the 1 turn switch that's normally supposed to happen, but also doesn't happen after certain charge move timings)

Besides, if higher attack mons didn't get priority in charge move ties they would be completely worthless in pvp since they die to 10 fast moves and the bulky mons can usually live one charge move anyways.

There's a moderate learning curve if you want to try and be the best, and you're likely missing a LOT of really good pvp mons that may never return to rotation so you're kinda fucked on that.

Just pick 3 1500 pokemon and enjoy the shitter ranks, get to rank 20 by the end of the season and if you're close to 2k try and make the push to get the extra ETM's.

They've actually been promoting a lot of top-tier Great League Pokémon in the past 6-7 months, various species showing up at least once per season, presumably because Catch Cup is now mandatory for a week. Even rocket rotations have had a lot of top-tier shadows available from grunts, leaders or raids. Gotta give those veteran PvP tryhards a reason to spend their millions of stardust without raising the level cap I guess.

It's mostly shadows you have to worry about, outside of the rare old legend quest reward from boxes they never do anymore.

Shadow Zapdos under 1500 is one you might not ever get again since raids drop it at level 20 and you need it at level 15.5 at best. Plus you will need to farm up etm's so that you can even use some of the pokemon that are spawning currently but had FOMO moves added to them. You might be able to get a lickitung, but you still have to spend that ETM to get Body Slam otherwise you shouldn't bother playing it.

I know Im not the best at the game and I sometimes make misplays. But I do know enough to realize when I'm getting fucked. The game will straight the fuck up lag me if I start doing to well and if I go on a losing streak I see it happen to opponents that I have no business winning against. It happens regularly and it only ever happens with pogo. Every single other game I play on my phone experiences no such lag and I play FPS games on it. And before you even try to suggest that it's my internet connection, I have top of the line 5G and incredible home wi-fi that works perfectly for literally everything else I do with it. Pokemon go lags though no matter what internet connection I have and it only ever happens when my 50% win rate would be affected. But Im sure this is all a huge coincidence and the other people who experience this literal exact same shit with pokemon go are all schizos. You're right bro, my bad

No, I get no actual lag when playing pvp. I do suffer from the bullshit game coding from time to time like the 1 turn delay when bringing a pokemon in after another got knocked out, or the inability to press my charge attack when coming in but it's pretty rare and hasn't really affected my wins as much as people like to complain about.

I do have access to most every meta mon because I've been playing pvp since it started and went out of my way to hunt them down, but I'm not a spoofer. I just use what I get and sometimes it's not a rank 1. The rank 1 is often overrated anyways since you'll always lose cmp in the mirror and have to find alternative win cons for common matchups.

And again, my alt is a legend player as well and it literally just uses whatever the fuck I find regardless of iv's. I use a lucky shiny lickitung instead of a high rank one just because.

The same as any species per km, the ticks are larger but sparser (because you wouldn't want to get too many candies from walking, please understand). Though if you make your buddy fall in love with you (like a filthy pokephile) at ~19.8/20.0 km walked and walk for a bit, you'll get a double energy injection pretty much. Good to set up for it.

Fairy's don't beat dragons in ML without 2s, unless you're running Dragonite/Garchomp or some shit. Dialga beats every single fairy type in the 1s except for primarina. That's why you rarely see very many fairy types running around ML, they don't have the bulk needed to live long enough for charm damage to be effective.

You just have to full send the moon blast, then you can tank 1 iron head. Then you can read back to back Close combat before the next iron head. So you either get both shields or kill Dialga.

ok yeah I forgot about Xern, mostly I was just talking about the charmer type fairy's. Xerneas is a great Dialga counter. The 2s doesn't look that good for Xern though, since after the Iron head lands and you no shield a moonblast you can just dragonbreath down. Though switch is rarely that strong in ML, shield advantage is often way better and your dialga is a sitting duck to getting reverse farmed so that situation is only good as a closing type.

The problem with that is you're also running the most basic bitch meta team and you will get countered both in team comp and people knowing how to outplay it.

Just relax, your putting far too much stress on yourself and it's likely affecting your play. One massive mistake you made yesterday was changing your team constantly, never do that.

You should only change your team when you run into an entire day's worth of getting hard countered. A lot of matchups that seem unwinnable can be flipped with good play, baits, or strategy. When you start changing your team constantly you get fucked by the random blind format of GBL, and it's where everyone thinks an algorithm starts. Find a team you like to play that gets you 3-2's consistently and stick with it. All you need to do is convert one 3-2 into a 4-1 through skill and you turn a mediocre day elo gain into a great one.

Gbl is boring as fuck when you're grinding team. I can't tell you how many times I played the exact same matchup over and over against different players.

Yup, you're not going to win every match remember that. Some matchups are quite unwinnable without your opponent completely fucking them up. What you want is a good team you can reliably 3-2 most of your sets and then fine tune it from there to flip some of the bad matchups you find that aren't completely unwinnable.
Good play, catching moves, farming down the right pokemon can flip otherwise bad matchups assuming you didn't que into a complete fast move taptap team.

You might also drop into some of their streams sometime and watch them play live and see how they react and think. Most of the good players walk their audience through why they do things and talk about what to do in situations.

The other thing is to get coached by someone as well. Usually costs some money but sometimes they offer free courses. Having a legend player shadow your battles and guide you in game really helps a ton when you're learning. And lastly, you can record your matches and watch them back and see how you could have improved the matchup without the stress of live play. Just remember you have out of game information at that point so you have to analyze from the perspective of live matches where you don't know the rest of the team.

Not quite, even with a 2 turn delay switching into Xern you can still get to a meteor mash before Xern gets double CC loaded, and you can no shield both to easily farm down.

If xern waits to throw the second CC you'll have to shield since you won't quite farm down in time, but then you just traded shields and you have 70 HP left and an EQ or MM ready to go for whatever switches in.

Of course, just saying that if someone put a gun to my head and forced me to queue up ML with Tapu Lele on the team, I'd end up preferring Astonish to Confusion purely because the extra 0.33 EPT means I reach Nature's Madness more often. It's just a shame that Astonish is strictly worse than Shadow Claw as though being 3.33 DPT & 3.33 EPT would break the game entirely.
Incinerate is 4 DPT / 4 EPT and every Incinerate rep is in the worst place it's ever been

Lmao no? Skeledirge and talonflame wreck through GL right now, you just need to keep them safe from the water types. Incinerate is always going to be clunky because of the 5 turn duration, but it's why those two are the best since they can stack two moves and have incredibly hard hitting nuke plus good utility/coverage bait moves.

Not every fast move has to be a carbon copy of the best moves. Astonish is the same as ice shard/fire spin and while it's not the greatest, dewgong makes it work and solgaleo makes fire spin work as well.

You're also forgetting lele would get stab on confusion, and there are several targets in ML that take neutral from psychic to capitalize on that with. The bigger issue is, lele just sucks ass in every format even if it got better fast moves.
