Battle Pets were a failed attempt of creating a Pokémon minigame within World of Warcraft. They should rather expand old pet mechanics with Treants for Druids, Ghouls for Death Knights, Phoenix for Warcraft 3 Blood Mage, robots for playable Gnome and Goblin tinkers and Warlocks that are similar to Hunters in obtaining and training their demons in the wild. Orc racial ability from vanilla WoW actually reflected that they were the only race that would simultaneously be both Hunters and Warlocks before Blood Elves Humans Undead Trolls and Dwarves would join them
