I've noticed that newer abilities are becoming multifaceted while some older abilities are still not as great. Instead of nerfing newer abilities, let's buff some old ones. What are your ideas?
>Ball Fetch
Now the Pokemon just instantly puts the failed ball into your bag instead of holding it, effectively giving you infinite Pokeballs if the Pokémon can catch it. There's a 50% chance that they won't. And yes, wtf couldn't this work on the Master Ball?
>Pickup
Now guaranteed to pick up items from defeated Pokémon, not just ones that were discarded or knocked off. Still spawns items randomly in the over world as well.
>Pickpocket
Now has a chance to proc if this Pokémon is on the receiving end of a contact move, not just when they are using one. Also removes the target's item even if the user already has a held item, effectively knocking it off but without the damage boost. I also like the idea of this ability giving you more money at the end of trainer battles if you make contact.
>Pastel Veil
Now also weakens damage from Poison type attacks by 20% for this Pokemon and their ally
>Big Pecks
Ignores Def drops still but increases the damage of wind moves by 20%
>Hyper Cutter
Ignores Attack drops but also now causes all cutting/Sharpness boosted attacks to have a heightened crit chance (acting as if they were already raised by one stage)
>Water Compaction
Now reduces damage from Water moves by 50%, effectively making them Neutral hits. Also now activated on the first turn rain becomes active (similar to Wind Rider + Tailwind). Still doubles Def.
>Water Veil
Now also raises SpDef by 1.5x during Rain
