Jokes aside, people have some odd fixation for Poochyena and arguing over it I never understood. Yeah it's supposed to be a hyena which makes it closer related to cats I get it, but its english and japanese name also include a nod to pet dogs. So apparently they are supposed to be both, a catdog if you will, but people argue over it constantly not belonging to one or the other.
I get the arguing over Eevee and its evolutions kinda because nothing in the name alludes to one or the other in the cat vs. fox vs. dog vs. rabbit debate. But arguing over Poochyena feels like arguing over Arcanine being a cat only suddenly just because Shisa derived from the chinese guardian lion statues and it has stripes like a tiger or something.
