The only time I care about a Pokemon's nature is if it fucks the Pokemon over, like Aurorus with a nature that reduces Special Attack.

Nature Mints exist now so there's that.

If I’m raising my favorite Pokemon up to level 100, I don’t want to waste that time after being fixated on a nature that doesn’t benefit it.
Blowing hours on an adamant Alakazam just to find out it’s permanently nerfed isn’t fun.

That said, Smogonfags obsessing over everything needing to be either jolly or timid are actual cancer. No, my 65 speed Emboar doesn’t benefit from a speed boosting nature and a choice scarf

natures you should care about, I don't always go for ideal natures but I at least wouldn't run a detrimental nature.
EVs are whatever, I only bother for postgame facilities. the random EVS spread you get from playing normally might not be ideal but it's enough to give you the edge over npc Pokemon with 0 EVs

Nature autism can be fun, EV autism is not. I have never and will never EV train a pokemon. Although I used to wish there was an easier way of checking a freshly caught pokemon's IVs/hidden power.

Well I meant they affect the stats but not the actual nature itself.

An Adamant Aurorus will stay Adamant if a Modest Mint was used. Only thing changed are the stats affected so +Special Attack and -Attack.

This makes sense if you're going to do the Battle Tower/Frontier/Subway/Maison/Tree/whatever part of the playthrough. I save EVs for postgame though, since I can easily wipe unwanted EVs with berries or reset bags.

I min max if it's multi but not singleplayer. I don't think it's ocd for me but obviously just being competitive. If you catch a pokemon can you not stop until you ev train it or can you save and come back to it like a week later? Have you ever not been able to finish ev training one?
