From corporate standpoint, TPC is perfectly successful, even more than any other franchises combined. The successful way of business is earning maximum profit with minimum effort as possible. Gamefreak doing an effort = business failure. Why improve when there are no competitors & fans are eternal slaves to your trash. Successful business: sell lead with gold price tag. Spit, shit, urinate on your fans and they gladly pay you.

Even big franchise like Disney, Hasbro, Warner Bros, etc. could still face terrifying backlash from their "dangerously aware" fans and really wish they could have fans as loyal (totally subservient), positive (mindless), supportive (keep addicted), accepting (lobotomized) as Pokémon fans.

Pokémon is too big to fail just like Apple

This is a red herring.

The reason why people don't like BDSP is that they're essentially a remaster instead of a remake like ORAS were, not even including stuff from Platinum. The "faithful remakes" also butchered contests and didn't even bother bringing back moves that were cut from SWSH, even Vespiquen's Heal Order. But knowing you you're going to make some remark about how "no one used contests" or "no one cares about Vespiquen" as some pathetic attempt at a "gotcha" to try and epically btfo me since I dealt a ohko to your shitjak.

This franchise is fucked.
