Nothing unsettling in canon but I do tend to think about how fucked we’d be if Pokemon were real. Even unassuming creatures could kill you easily.

The fact that they straight up had Sada/Turo get killed by the boxart mon caught me off guard, I didn't expect them to go that far. Their whole story with Arven is fucking depressing for a Pokémon game.

I was creeped out by the Unown & Ruins of Alph as a kid.
Mt Mortar was also kind of creepy just because it felt kind of remote and unexplained.

Being unable to see/fight the ghosts in Lavender Town spooked me as a kid. The whole concept of a dead Pokémon coming back for revenge and her baby being all alone was kinda disturbing to me at the time. And I swear one of the possessed priestesses says she wants your blood.

I remember as a kid when I first stumbled at the Old Chateau, I could not stand being in there for seconds. The music didn't help and the first time I eventually braved through was the time where I saw the ghosts roaming about too, so that scared me even more. It took a while for me to get the Rotom, and I also ended up getting a Gengar from there.
