>>57914724kanto route 1 didn't have a sneak peak of the final route giving you access to more pokemon before the first gym, which by the way, johto has a LOT of options there, it's seriously impressive. and that list only grows throughout the game, johto's pokémon distribution is phenomenal
power plant isnt "hidden" at all
lastly
>GRRRRR I NEED EVERY POKEMON TO BE MINMAXED SHITMON SHITMON SHITMONliteral fetus mindset, if you can't beat the game with stantler you're dogshit at it
>>57914816>No route variety, they're all grass + trees.Johto has its fair share of water routes, and even its simple grass/trees routes are memorable (see
>>57914704)
>The routes are tiny as fucki mean some of them are, sure, but there's a fair share of larger routes. 36 is pretty decently sized, 30-31 on their own are kinda small but ar the end of the day they're basically one route. but yeah a lot of the routes are on the smaller side, although I don't see how that's a problem
>all of the dungeons, except for Whirlpool Islands and Mt Morter [sic], suckedhow so?
>the Pokemon variety is laughably bad, easily the worst in the seriesAnd now we get to this. This is how you know that this poster has not in fact played HGSS. In HGSS, you have a shitton of options before the first gym alone, let alone throughout the entire game, and that's not getting into the safari zone. Johto's mon distribution, in HGSS at least, is some of the best in the series. Oh, but houndour and sneasel are postgame only, so suddenly the whole game's distribution is shit. Get a grip. It's not that the game has "bad Pokémon distribution" it's that (You) refuse to try new things. You dismiss everything that isn't optimal as a "shitmon," even though Pokémon games are so easy you could complete any league with a team of literal babies if you tried hard enough. Just because the game gives you a shiny Gyarados doesn't mean you HAVE to use it.
>there is no memorable route in the entire regionI already listed four.
