If the post game is so important than clearly that means the credits are arbitrary, you don't really feel like the game is finished or completed if you get to the credits and there is a post game, so why even use it as a metric? If the main game is, say, 10h of content and the post game is 3h, how is that lower quality than pushing it all before the credits for a 13h experience?
I will level with you, I enjoy post game content too, but with how modern pokemon guts content that, back in the day, would be included in the main game comparing Isle of Armor and Crowned Tundra to Sevii Islands seems appropriate. Just don't sell me CT and IoA seperatley and I feel like I'm getting that same amount of content regardless if I'm allowed to go to it earlier than the credits.
