Why don't you start asking Nintendo to both facilitate longer dev cycles AND pay triple A budgets for the next Pokémon game? Because the whole thing works to Nintendo's say-so. They order game releases to launch on their hardware, in amongst their own in-house game releases keyed to supporting their system and do so on a yearly basis, because sales of ANY one pokémon game doubles the domestic hardware unit sales on launch week (dunno worldwide numbers, but likely as strong as home market) AND means they have a guaranteed console seller going into winter holiday sales. Whole show is shaped to be something it just won't be, because none of the rights-holders are as retarded as to place older players above the core demographic. And given you were once part of the core demo and helped carry the generation until the next crop of 7 year olds aged in for the next Gen, seems you have no recourse. You grew standards? Fuck off and exercise them, you don't have a right to demand something that was perfectly fine for you as a kid needs to change for you as an adult. You're outnumbered by the core demo horrifically, not to mention the adults who understand and accept the limitations Pokémon will always have and ignore them to continue having fun playing the games.
