>>104786693>(also the whole nightrose is a CIS TOMBOY thing is very weird. It only started due to them getting mis-gendered in VRChat. and it's only really posted about on days when she crashes out.)Speaking as a tranny, it gets complicated when you're in a large group of internet people and they start assuming you're cis.
At first it's just your core friends and they know you're trans and are just being positive and inclusive. Like, right on, that's why your chose them as a friend group in the first place.
But then people start getting added to the group and they don't know you're trans. They just know your friends have always called you a woman and shot down any misgendering. So they assume you're a ciswoman. And, like, why correct them? It's not their business, you're just mutuals online who just met. And you aren't one of the freaky trannies that insists on putting pride flags everywhere, so less attention on you is better. You don't want to talk about being trans, you just wanna play video games. In many cases, you don't actually know they think you're cis because it doesn't really come up (when does having a vagina matter playing DCS World?).
But then people that are just mutuals become closer friends. Or if you're a streamer, things start really popping off and the follow counts go up. And the unfortunate thing about girls online is people start getting crushes and simping on them. But suffice to say, everyone insists you're not just a girl, but a cis girl. And many of them a viciously angry that people are questioning their attraction to you.
And so it starts with an awkward comment about your "period", and now you have a very binary choice. You either lean into the assumption that you are cis, or you out yourself to a large group of people who you haven't felt out like you did those core friends earlier. And if these are people actively simping on you, they aren't just going to be, "whoops, my bad assuming without asking." They've gone agro about it on others. Oh, and "ignoring the comment" isn't an option, since a non-answer just gets classed as cis.
So why do so many trannies online wave the stupid flags around? Because it cuts off this shit from even starting.
And why do some trannies end up deep stealth, surrounded by sycophants that will attack you for pointing it out? Because they ended up on the other road and things got complicated.
I personally don't judge either side of the coin.
Anyways, I don't know shit about Nightrose's background. I've just seen the narrative I'm talking about play out a bunch of times, to myself and others.
