The Niji server is completely developed and many members are 'done' with the game. In contrast, Hololive's server is actually their second one, and they restarted on a newer version, which is their current one. I don't know if the approach of how Holomem treat MC vs NijiJP matters either, and it would require someone who watches NijiJP to explain if there is any difference.
This has resulted in HoloMC basically being a slice-of-life anime with its ongoing ACTIVE storylines, with the last big chapter being the Usaken summer fes, and the new chapter being the Server Merge->Visiting EN chapter underway.
