I'm learning Japanese mainly to watch HoloJP and actually understand what they are saying.
Also want to move to Japan or at least live there for some time but theres a lot more reasons I want to aside from Hololive, mainly the place just has a lot of cool stuff to experience

I keep trying to learn Nip, but don't really enjoy it so I keep dropping it and forgetting most of what I've learned. I tell myself I want to live in Japan, but the work environment seems even worse than in the U.S. & I would make way less $ for my current job so it's hard to use that as motivation, and when my oshi isn't streaming I have 0 desire to learn the language at all.

Learn Nip so it's enough that you can understand whats going on. NEVER live in Japan, just have a good income and travel to Japan as frequently as possible[21days is ideal so u can travel and rest inbetween and you would burn out a little bit but still would want to go back]. You can plan around your Oshi's live. The only thing ideal about living Japan is if you have income to become a NEET for the rest of your life[5k a month for doing nothing]. Then you can live comfortably and won't burn out from the social environment. Also if you never been to JP before, always buy those Gaijin JR/Bullet train passes it saves you so much money.

My only reason to watch NijiEN has been Pomu, I knew her as an indie and really don't care about any company or something.
I enjoyed her streams less and less lately and rather watched other NijiENs like Rosemi, Enna or Millie that I just found because of Pomu.
The fact that I don't really pay any attention to Hololive whatsoever at this point makes me feel as I was one of those wannabe Nijisanji fans who just stick to NijiEN because of being contrarian, but the truth is that I just don't know much about Hololive.
