And out of the 350ish survivors of the first attack, only about 50 would not fight in the retaliation and would instead be escorted to /luna/, where their safety would be guaranteed.
Not singling you two out, but I just needed to say this, since there was a Hooman before who offered to send a big force up north to help us.
Just like the announcement, the first attack caught us completely off guard, that's why it was so effective in the first place. The rest of the world wouldn't get the news till maybe months later, since it's not like we were a major nation that just poofed out of existence. We were just a small, lonely group of about 5k space aussies, trying and ultimately failing to survive.
