If Coco elected a 'termination for convenience' of her contract, it may well be that a 1 year non-complete applied, for her joining another competitor. Or, they might have had a special severance arrangement, which included some negotiated non-compete clauses for a 1 year duration---she left on good terms, with a big send-off, after all.
Rushia was terminated for breach. And it's quite possible that no non-compete clause applied, in that circumstance. Or, her base contract might have been a little different than Coco's. Or, Rushia and Cover have entered a settlement concerning the (disputed) grounds for termination, including a waiver of any non-compete.
This is all speculation---there are lots of possibilities. I'm a US attorney, and though I have negotiated non-competes, the law and custom in JP may be different, too.
