Well, shitposting here has very little consequences aside from occasional ridicule. But after a long history of writing academic reports, essays, manuals, etc, the paranoia of making stupid mistakes creeps upon you. Little by little, the paranoia consumes you - it roots itself in the deepest parts of your mind. Before long, you will begin to question yourself: "Did I use a wrong word? Did I use connectives correctly? Does my text even make any sense?" And by far the worst part in all of this is that your writing skills will most likely never match the level your reading comprehension is at.
Therefore, no matter how many books I read or streams I watch, I'll never be able to reach my desired level. I will always be the ridiculed ESL-kun from some poor Northern European country. But in the end, I will prevail. I will live with this pain and burden, so that other ESL-chamas can bloom without knowing the horrors of being second-rate poster. I will shield those barbarians in order to assure that they will live their irrelevant lives in blissful ignorance.
