>>37074075Come up with a list of topics to talk about, especially topics the person you're talking to might be interested in. It's a science and an art, so it's not going to go perfectly and you'll probably fuck up. But you'll never get better if you don't keep trying and stick to socializing. I know it's not as easy as "just socialize lol", but socializing does help you with your fear somewhat through exposure because you'll see that some of your fears are unfounded, and you just get more accustomed to talking, and you'll see that people don't really care about your screwups. This is assuming you're not talking to an asshole/psycho person, of course, but that's why you have to be somewhat selective about who you're talking to. Anyway, you have to take action. Spending all your time with your head in your ass worrying about everything going wrong isn't going to change anything. Overthinking is a bitch. Believe me, I still do it sometimes too. But inaction is worse.
>>37074160Anxiety is often born from thought. Think about why you're feeling nervous. Go see a therapist or something or go get meds if it really is that bad. It's annoying as fuck to deal with anxiety. You have to look at it as a constantly battle that you slowly have to start winning through small changes. I'm going to shut up now cause I've derailed things enough.
